A potential challenger of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is disclosing stock holdings valued at more than $50 million, revealing that she has serious resources available for a political campaign.
The Senate has many millionaires within its ranks, but Lowden’s holdings would certainly put her near the top.

Sarah Palin poked fun at herself in a speech to journalists Saturday night, drawing laughter when she announced she “came down from my hotel room and I could see the Russian Embassy.”
Palin was the Republican speaker at the winter dinner of the Gridiron Club, an organization of Washington-based journalists.

The campaign manager for longtime U.S. Rep. Chris Shays was arrested Friday on charges he embezzled about $250,000 in campaign funds.
The 34-year-old Sohn is expected to appear Friday in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport. A telephone message left with his attorney, Philip Russell, was not immediately returned.

Michael Sohn, a longtime aide to former Rep. Chris Shays (R-Conn.), has been indicted on embezzlement and tax evasion charges. Sohn, who is accused of embezzling campaign money, is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
Also according to the indictment, Sohn is accused of embezzling more than $250,000 from Shays 2006 and 2008 campaigns.
